Freelance Data Scientist with AI / ML

About the position

For one of our Swedish clients, we are looking for a Data Scientist to assist in their ‘People Insights’.

Our client has started an initiative to aggregate HR data from multiple data sources into a Data Warehouse solution on cloud-based platforms. Their goal is to improve coworkers work life through analytics. You will join a newly started product team working according to agile methods.

Our client has data from HR source systems and need someone to work with feature engineering, metrics definition and then build prediction models that support their business in taking fact-based decisions. For example, they want to predict co-worker churn and identify drivers of this so that their business can take proactive measures for churn prevention.

Feature definition & design
Optimize fitting
Give feedback on data profiling and data quality
Give guidance in improving models for better predictions, both in expanding source data, and how to create and maintain features
Work with business to understand requirements, possibilities and limitations with existing data and processes

Requirements / experience

MSc or PhD in a quantitative discipline (computer science, math, physics, statistics, or equivalent)
Working with ML, predictions and automated decision support
Proficient in AI/ML-programming, preferably in Python
Experience in creating models specially for text classification
Some knowledge of modern data engineering principles and tools
Previous exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). GCP is strongly preferred, and you will work w/ BigQuery, Dataflow etc. on a daily basis
Experience with DevOps and agile development practices in which requirements and solutions evolve through the collaborative effort of self-organizing cross-functional teams

Three most important things:

Experience in ML, predictions & decision support
AI/ML programming skills (preferably Python)
Some knowledge of modern data engineering principles and tools

Location: Hubhult, Malmö, Sweden. Some travel will be required.
