Freelance C# Developer for Logistics Simulation Tool
Remote / later Gentofte or Skarbæk, Denmark 14 June 2021 11 and a half months
Om stillingen
As a professional C# Developer, you will join an elite team of a three to five software-inclined physicists, engineers and mathematicians developing, operating and supporting an integrated tool for simulating and optimising the logistics of offshore wind farm construction. The tool is widely used with the company/our client for planning and budgeting the construction of their offshore wind farms. Formally, the tool is anchored in the department, The Numerical Competence Center, and they are in direct contact with their users as they supply design, development and support for the tool. The project is gaining speed and requests are coming in fast, which is why they need assistance on a variety of features such as UI improvements, simulation model updates and optimisation. The model and application comprise a stand-alone desktop application implemented in C# with several interfaces.
At our client’s, they are dedicated and challenge assumptions and the status quo. They have the freedom to do things right with low overheads. They cater to the needs of their users (not necessarily what they say, they need). Since, formally, they own the tool, they are very careful with their design, and development decisions chosen are rarely ‘an easy way out’.
They are strong in physics and numerical methods, and they are software development enthusiasts. They need an additional C# development professional to complement this skill set.
Requirements
You are versatile, positive, thorough and highly skilled in:
- C# (incl. WPF) and .NET (Our client’s primary development eco systems.)
- DevOps and associated tool eco system (They use Azure DevOps as well as JetBrains’ suite.)
- Best practices in programming and software development
- A background in mathematics/engineering is an advantage.
Ideally, you are prepared to show us some of your work, e.g. your contributions to open-source projects or other examples of code that you have written / systems you have developed.
Our development processes include version control, code review, continuous integration, testing and more.
