Developer profile and knowledge within ADAM and .NET.

Below is a description of the area where our client needs special development skills.

Overall description of the product:

LAP is a custom ASP.NET WebForms application (yes, the old “ASP.NET Pages” and not MVC or anything newer). It is a custom built front-end to the ADAM system.

Architecture, communications and databases

The ADAM software is used for running maintenance jobs, handling users, assets, classifications and security.

Data is exported to a SOLR-indexer to facilitate fast searches and faceted search.

The standard ADAM backend is only used for administrative tasks by system administrators. All uploading and handling of assets are done through the custom web application.

For ADAM-related communication, everything is done through the ADAM API (.NET API). For our own custom databases we use Entity Framework.

There is one database for LAP.

There is no business logic in the database.

We have one public API for clients outside of LAP, and starting one LAP UI API that is used for backend for the new frontend development of LAP. We are in process of converting existing ASP.NET pages to React components, which will happen piece by piece over time.

We are using Windows Authentication.

Azure AD is used in order to allow federation with Microsoft guest accounts.
